The revs dont need cutting of the heads, and a new crane one doesnt either. As well, either of those shouldnt need to the rockers clearanced as they should set the same as the stockers.

Please do not create topics with titles that do not hint as to what is inside. "All I can say is..." is not a valid topic for a thread in this forum. I've changed it for you this time.
Thanks!
Thanks!

It's not too bad if you have the right tool. http://www.mustangmods.com/data/440/valvespringtool.jpg
I am having several of these made and offering it for $25.00

You have to take your time. This in NOT the kind of work that is done "assembly line" style. If you use compressed air you can do both vales on each cylinder at the same time. Plus if you have two spring compressor tools you can use one tool to compress the new spring and have it ready to go in BEFORE you remove the old spring with the second spring tool. You have to purchase a spare spring retainer to take advantage of this time saving method. Just using the compressd air trick and two spring compressor tools saves a lot of time, but it sounds like saving time wasn'[t your concern. Try the OEM spring compressor tool that Auto Zone loans out. It doesn't cost you anything, but a deposit which they return to you when you bring back the tool. It works good. You just have to try and get each spring compressed the same amount every time. If the sping is compressed too much the locks don't want to stay in place and if it isn't compressed enough the locks won't drop into the retainer. The right tool, as in any job is key to success.

Yeah, the TDC method is the way to go in my opinion. 2 cylinders ready to go. You could also have another person working on the other side should you have 2 compressors. I've managed to get the Napa overhead tool to work on all 8 cylinders on an F-body. $33 and it works great on single springs. Duals are like playing with a loaded gun though. Plus, it eliminates any risk of cross-threading the rocker bold when using the other tools.
