Default New Brake packages & pricing changes (lower if you can believe it!)

We've added a number of new combination brake kits and the pricing on some products has actually dropped (namely on Brembo rotors).

Item 1: Stranoparts LS1 Brembo Rotors--set of 4: $299.99 (previously $310)
http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=17&ModelID=7

---------------------------
Item 2: Stranoparts LS1HPSset--Front and Rear sets of Hawk HPS compound brake pads + **Free shipping**: $162.00
http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=17&ModelID=7

----------------------------
Item 3: Stranoparts Brake Package 5--includes 4 Brembo Rotors and 2 sets of Hawk HPS Pads: $450.00 (previously was $460)
http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=17&ModelID=7

----------------------------
Item 4: Stranoparts Brake Package 4--includes 4 Best Brand Rotors and 2 sets of Hawk HPS Pads: $332.00
http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=17&ModelID=7
------------------------------

We're working a few more things hopefully to be added next week to try and help everyone out just a little bit in these economically tough times. All the above items are currently in stock, and can be ordered off the website.

We are closed weekends, so I won't be around to answer any questions until Monday, but feel free to PM me or leave a phone message, I'll return any messages ASAP.

Are brake rotor prices coming down a little bit? I looked on tirerack recently and brembos were all like 80+ dollars even for the cheaper part cars.

Sam, are there any difference in prices for the Hawk Ceramics? Can the ceramics be substituted in the package deal in the place of the HPS pads for the same price?

No.. steel isn't any cheaper. I just decided that we all need a little help, and worked hard with a few suppliers and looked at pricing. I decide to make less, the decide to make less, so we can sell to you guys for less too. It's not a lot, admittedly, but ever bit counts--I think.

As is pretty standard, pictures usually aren't the represented part. I can't imagine trying to have a picture of every, single part made.

I'll have a kit with Ceramics up sometime today.... Price will only be a few bucks more. I'll post the link when I have it up.

Not likely. Fewer suppliers carry those so I don't have as much leverage. Besides when compare to Brembo's $40 isn't bad for the set of 4 considering your are getting the Metacote finish as well. And don't forget that before I managed to massage Brembo pricing, the ATE's were *less* than $40 more for the set.

Glad you like them. Brakes are so overlooked by so many. Even junk stuff feels good when it's new, the difference is what happens as the pads and such wear and are subject to glazing and general abuse.

The above post shows how quality parts still work even after a lot of time has passed.

Sam - How much would shipping run on the Brake Package 5 to Phoenix, AZ? Also, you'll be getting the whole "what the hell do I do now" call very soon as I've finally found some time to install the suspension I bought from you this summer!

Shipping is about $50... the 4 rotors alone are over 80 pounds, and shipping is based on size and/or weight. That's a lot of weight.

I'll be here waiting for that call.

I'll chime in for Sam too. I'm still running Brembos and Hawks I bought in 2004 from Sam and they STILL stop like new. The HPS don't dust bad and I've never had a squeak. The hotter they get, the better they stop.

i'll probably be getting that set with the ceramic Hawk pads from you as soon as i've had enough time to save up the dough.....and i need it badly, my current rotors are warped, and it's annoying as HELL every time i come to a stop and have to feel that vibration.

I have Brembo blanks and Hawk HPS I got from Strano. WORLDS better than whatever was on there before. Been about a year and they stop nice and hard.

One thing to consider between these and the ATE's is the lack of a coating on the Brembos. I shot a couple coats of high temp paint and they are nice though.
