Default No Refund from Hi Flo: RESOLVED

They've been saying for months now that they were willing to give a 100% refund back of the deposit on the F-body street killer kit. So I contacted Bill at 11:30am on 5/31/06, and he said he would refund my credit card that day. As of today, I still haven't seen the refund. I finally got ahold of Bill again on Monday 6/12, and he said he couldn't give me the refund, but he had told Marko to do it before he went out of town. Marko was supposed to call yesterday, but still haven't heard from them. He isn't answering his cellphone anymore either.
My CC company said they would help with the dispute, but I'm not sure what they can do after over 8 months.

Dang, sorry to hear that. My friend who had the Hi Flo kit on order finally cancelled a couple months ago. He was able to get his refund, it did take about a week. We were "hopefully" going to install his Hi Flo system the week between Christmas and New Years... Last year. I know how long it's been, I feel for ya. The cc company should be able to do a chargeback if necessary. It will take several days once Hi Flo initiates a refund, for you to see activity on your account.

The worst part is that, in effect, it's been an interest free loan while they get the kits fabbed. Any chance they'd have a realistic ship date - or have you just decided to throw in the towel completely? You'd think, it's gotta be close by now!

No realistic ship dates yet. I had been hearing 2-4 more weeks for 3 months now. I'm a little annoyed about the interest free loan, but what really sucks is the turbo-specific parts I've lost money on. Of course, if I don't get this deposit back, that might suck a little more. I'm not going to try another turbo kit, since I don't care much for the way the other kits that you can actually get ahold of are built. I'm going back to my original plan of a LS2 based 402, probably over the winter.

i have built my car/engine around this setup....so thats more money i have to put into my car if/when i go a different route. this kit was very nicely put together, unfortunately i still dont have it after......months. i too keep hearing 2-3 more weeks for i dont know how long now. this is rediculous. i know good product takes some time, but for the love of god deliver. i have bit my tongue believe me. i have missed a LOT of action so far this year and refuse to take this any longer. now i can't even get a hold of hi-flo, and that makes me nervous

Your credit card can do a charge back due to non receipt of product.

Well looks like I'll have to attempt a charge back. They still aren't answering their phone, and Marko hasn't returned the voicemails I left on his cell. ******* bullshit

Update: I've been holding off doing a chargeback because PSJ has been trying to help. I finally got ahold of Marko yesterday morning, and he said he would call me back when he got to the shop. I still haven't heard from him, and he's back to not answering his cellphone.

Wow, it seems like before a member is forced to do a charge back on a sponsor the sponsor should be removed from ls1tech.

Do the charge back! You have a better chance of losing your money everyday this drags on. They probably don't have the money, so act fast.

I talked to Marko a few minutes ago. He's going to give me the credit in the morning, and I should see it by the end of the week. He apparently didn't have cell service today where he was at.
This thread wouldn't have ever happened, and I wouldn't have gotten so pissed, if Bill had responded to PMs or returned my voicemails while Marko was out of town. As a matter of fact, Bill hasn't responded to a PM from me since before I placed a deposit! Marko should've returned my voicemails as well, but I don't know what his situation was last week.

Marko said he would put it in this morning, so the earliest I would see the credit is tomorrow. He said I would see it by the end of the week. I'll update this thread when it gets resolved

Well crap, I got ahold of Marko yesterday because I haven't seen the credit yet, and he said he didn't get to the office and put the credit in until this past Monday, so a few more days wait for me. I hope just a few more days...
