BTW: The only place I've seen the authentic Nascar Rims was at (Believe it or not) Pep Boys!! Check with them and their catalog.

You should see some of the **** that people have come out with for the Monte. The Monte owners on LS1tech have good taste, but there is an entire subculture of people who bought the Monte Carlo 'cause that there is one of dem NASCARs'. I've seen some truly horribly stuff done to innocent little Monte Carlo SSs by that group of owners.

As an odd note on demographics it seems a lot of the NASCAR owns pimp the supercharged SSs, the ones that came before the LS4. A lot of Grand Prix GTPs have also sadly been trashed by the domestic rice crowd. They talk a lot of **** about their "pulley" right up until the LS4 puts them in their place.

haha, just don't assume all L67 owners are just talking ****. There's plenty of L67's that will flatout make an LS4 look silly.

I know a number of L67 owners that are down into the 11s and have damn solid cars. Most of those guys look stock though and enjoy giving V8s a little little surprise off the light.

Normally the body kitted ones or the ones sporting the Altezzas tend to post crappy times. Or they throw on a pulley without supporting mods and run a few 1/4 miles and then their transmission blows.

The worst one I ran into was a N/A Grand Prix GT with "GXP" logos on the side. He was posting high 14, low 15 second 1/4 miles.

Oh yeah and there there is top swapping. Sticking the top of the L67 on the N/A Base engine that came in the Monte Carlo and Grand Prix. Then they wonder why they're always having engine troubles.

in my experience the more "xtreme body modz" a car has the slower it is, i think it has to do with the faux carbon fiber decals over steel, weighing the car down

thanks for the responses, I was 50/50 on these wheels as I am looking for something a little diffferent, so now, I have a clearer view. As for body kits, If it isn't factory then forget it.

looks like they put the sideskirts on the wrong sides too... would think the smaller swale should be up by the front tire, and the longer swooping one should be going towards the back tires... heh...

I think she does! Here in ATL (And I'm pretty sure other cities) any Monte Carlo would get you one of these girls. Any color, any flavor, "its like Baskin Robins, 36 flavors of *******!"
