SRT-8 Jeep Has anyone had the chance to race one of these yet? My friend just got one, it's bad ***, he's already talking **** I'm just wondering if we can hang with them or if it's not even close.

They are heavier obviously but with stock 420hp and AWD for launching...not to mention with simple mods/tune they can approach 475+ hp....0-60 can be in the low 4's...it would be tough in my opinion...if your friend wants to shell out another 8k or so he can get a package that takes it up to over 600hp and thats not the turbo Hennesy....but good luck, get good with your car and you may be able to pull the upset!

My buddy has one with exhaust, cai, and a tune. We raced from 70-130 and he pulled about a car on me. That was when i had only a cai. However his brother has a SRT-8 charger and that thing walked me pretty good from a 70 roll. Also i did try racing him from a dig and he got about 1.5 cars on me by 60. Just race him on the highway and make sure you are using tap shift or have it tuned so that it doesnt hit 3rd at like 5400rpms that will ruin it for ya.

I've run one and beat him....I'm pretty modded for us LS4 guys and I sprayed my NANO shot from a 20 roll...got ugly quick. From a dig they have us, but if one is foolish enough to be convinced to run from a roll.....then a heavily modded LS4 has the chance to be one.
