Hogan downpipe problem?

Hogan downpipe problem?
I put my downpipe on this weekend and somethings leaking like hell. I put it on and took it off like 3 times trying to check everything and make sure it was tight. The leak can only be heard when im under heavy acceleration and i could hear it this morning cuz it was soo cold. But once it warms up its fine under normal driving conditions. So what im thinking is do i need a different gasket where it meets the manifold. The gasket i used is a new one but does hogan sell a different size or something??? also could it be leaking through the flex? i might just try to wrap the flex with exhaust tape and see if thats the problem. I bought it used and everything looks fine but............

I don't know, I bought mine used also. I got my gaskets from the dealer. Did you put the manifold gasket in backward? I'm not sure if that would do anything or not? But might be your culprit.

I bet ya that gasket is on the backwards!! This is just like the old manifold or headers= Has the "putt-putt" sound until that "bad" gasket warms & expands!! My best advice is to go back and check that gasket first before wrapping that flex!!

ya just tried wrapping it. no better. it doesnt get better when it warms up. I called the dealer and they said the gasket is reversible. I hate working on the ground so im just gotta wait till i get my lift in. thanks guys

Both of mine had a slight tick, it's been explained as a resonance when the exhaust gases hit the walls of the DP. But when I took 'em off I saw no visible signs of a leak.
Run it for a week or so and take it off and check for carbon on the gaskets.
