Got called out to run....
Hey boys, I just got called to run a SRT8 Jeep Cherokee from a 20 roll (confirmed mods: CAI only so far). I'm intake/exhaust/TBS/poly motor mount/100 octane tune/some weight reduction.
How do you guys think I'll do against the Jeep from a 20 kick? From what I've seen our pulls down low will be even or the edge to the Jeep but up top (60+) I should pull ahead aerodynamically.
Don't make this an e-pissing match, just want to hear what you guys have to say.

Them things are quick. Obvisouly your taking his advantage away by racing from a roll. I think it will be close to 60 then he might pull to around 100 then aero would come back in your favor.

I think you would need a 50 shot or rockers/valve springs/dp. I had just a intake, 100 shot, tune, no rear seat and trunk gutted, spring blockers, better tires and i was right there with low 13/ high 12 second cars.
There is a ls4 impala on the site that got in the 12s with just better tires and 100 shot

I guess it might win at a cost of $42,965 and gas mileage on the hwy at 14 mpg
You would have to be retarded to purchase this piece of crap
I own a 99 jeep grand Cherokee 4X4 what a hunk of junk I work on this thing all the time
New motor new Trans and all kind of wiring issues spend twelve thousand more on the
Monte Carlo and the price will be even at time of purchase and you would kill him in every way!! Just my 2 cents

If I had an extra 12,000 laying around my Monte would have received a hardened tranny, a turbo kit, some spray, and some better meat....I wish someday soon a car will appear with these specs...
Anyone know what happened to supercatxr7 (can't remember your whole screen name sorry) and his turbo/tranny plans???
He was the first N/A car into the high 12's I think....
Hell for 12K beef up the tranny, ditch DOD/AFM, cam, spray, headers, intake, heads and some better meats....

I don't know, those things are pretty quick. I played with one on the highway once...going WOT at ~70mph he would easily pull 2 cars on me up to 100. Going from a 20 roll though...might be a different race but those are 4X4s right? I wouldn't put any money on it, but hey, I'm a cheapskate so why listen to me?

Yep they're AWD. They always like to make sure to emphasize the fact that they do 0-60 in under 5 seconds on wet or dry road. Good luck but I think the advantage goes to the SRT8.

Well if its any concession I found out its a girl driving it....haha its a long story boys.
Why would I want to run her from a dig? FWD=can't launch well for ****. I sold off all my mods so I'd love to drop the coin on some new stuff but its coin I don't have right now.
I plan on putting my pig on a diet:
!Spare
!jack
!subs
!back seats (anyone know how?)
!passenger
!headlight
Any other easy to remove weight that I'm missing that I can put back at a later time?

They are 4x4 but unlike the tbss 4x4's. They just pull one fuse out and BAMm 2WD! If your lucky he wont know to do this and his 4x4 will soak up some power. I think he may win though, they run almost identical to a stock f body in the 1/4.
