Default How difficult to remove the headrests?

I wanted to know how difficult it is to remove the headrests. I oedered the Impala SS headrests, and they should be coming soon. Just want to make sure the install goes smoothly.
Any instructions/tips?

The headrests do not come off by just pressing the button and pulling up on the headrest...otherwise it would just pop out if you lifted it up too high.

There is a notch at the end of the pole(s) that keeps it from coming straight out by holding the main release and lifting. You can (carefully) pry off the plastic trim so that you can see it better.

On the side of one or possibly both of the headrest poles, there will be another release button. This is a 3-handed job. You need to hold the release for both poles, then pull the headrest up and out.

NOW you can sticky this, since the information is true & correct.

There is a tiny pin hole in the side of the plastic base the headrests go into. Get a paper clip and stick/push it into the hole and pull up on that side of the headrest, repeat on the otherside and its off.

LOL...hopefully it was a once-in-a-lifetime mistake. Otherwise, someone in quality control is out of a job!

Buff, the SS is the same right side up as it is upside down. This guy is just trying to be funny.

They're actually not the same. There is a small seperation on the top of te SS, while the bottom is joined. I've seen enough people have it incorrect on their cars...oh boy!
