First runs with GXP - 14.13 @ 97.44
Had 5 runs. Was hard to launch. It seemed like traction control was engaging even though I turned it off. Here is my best run.
14.13 @ 97.44
2.05 60ft on street tires with 20psi
headlight out and open cone intake. Eveything else is stock. I will post timeslip scan when I can.
Here is the video but my camera guy cut it off at the end.

nice 60'. IM(not so)HO, cone filters cost you power as they are sucking in hot air. Dallas is probably in the mid 70's right now, so the MPH is looking decent as well. Congratulations on a nice run!

Well lets see if I can remember.
VS cam
ls6 springs and retainers
3.25 pulley
intense pcm
3.29 gears in race tranny that still went kaput
catless 3 inch downpipe
res and ubend delete
exhaust cutout
self ported exhaust manifolds
I think that is it.
Thanks,
Eric

you have to figure out what pressure your tires work best at and everytime maybe different as there are so many variables to consider, so on and so on. Unlike slicks or drag radials most tires work best btwn 20-27 psi. Usually anything lower then 20 you start losing traction on regular tires do to sidewall stiffness. Also put your rear tires at 50psi for less rolling resistance on the rear as well. That person who told you that doesn't know much about traction. I once had a guy tell me that adding air adds weight. I had to stop and ask him if he was joking and with the straightest face ever told me he was dead serious. I almost pissed myself laughing as I walked away...
