Default 40,500 miles and it's official, the trans needs replacing

Slipping until the temp reaches about 140*. Went to the dealership (the same one that said my Bilsteins weren't factory struts...) and they said they'd call whoever to see if my CAI and exhaust voids the warranty on the trans.

Lasted longer than I thought it would.

Maybe the non-stock Bilsteins will void the warranty.

So does anyone wonder why GM went belly-up?

Still have not learned from the errors of the past; with a flat learning curve they will just crash again.

Customer care is what keeps people coming back. With idiot dealers you drive customers away.

I'm sure they'll find a way.

Mine aren't non-stock Bilsteins. This is also the same place with a few techs that didn't know my car had a V8.

That sucks, I forsee the tune being a dealbreaker. I take it it's not a mod-friendly dealership.

What tune, they already replaced my TCM. I told them I had DoD, they said that didn't matter.

Oops, I read wrong, I thought you had a tune on the trans. Intake and exhaust shouldn't void the tranny warranty then.

I'm a little rough on it though, I use Tap most of the time, too. It had been pulsing for a while, revving ~100 rpms on cruise.

Even with this little hiccup, I still love the car, even though there's a few others I'd prefer.

Oh.... I'm at 43,000! Had the tcm reprogramed when I got tuned and added a shift kit new filter and fluid at 35k. Sometimes my trans takes forever to shift into 4th and when i changed the fluid it looked very dark and there was some grit in the pan. I know I'm do soon. Keep us posted!

If they give me the run around, I'll limp it down there when I get a chance. Thanks Mel.
