Default What are our cylinders numbers?

Somone clarify this for me...if looking at the motor from the front of the car...would it be the following:

2 4 6 8
{ / / / / /()<--- TB
1 3 5 7
^
Acc. belt is TRUE FRONT IM TOLD

7 5 3 1
/ / / / / }()<--- TB and Acc. belt in FRONT This is what the other LSx motors are
8 6 4 2

LOVE THE ART!!

This would be a good FWD LS signature LMAO!!

here is a better representation of the LSx motor layout

WGT is correct. The crank snout is the best way to orient the engine when numbering.

Engine block arrangement with cylinder numbers. Go look in your engine bay and you'll see it.

I am a little more personal with my engine. Instead of numbers, I gave each cylinder a name. LOLOLOLOLOL LMAO.
Oh, and the Haynes manual is pretty good, but it shows mostly Impala photos and having a Monte, there are just some things that are different, such as the interior, I had to figure out on my own how to get top off console to run wire for cutout and how to get to speakers when I changed them. The mechanicals are ok though.
