Default HVAC Lights

I have the automatic climate control and a few of the lights, not all of them, are out. Anyone encounter this?

Thanks,

John

They're known to do that. Some people lovingly tap on the area and they come back. Mine how ever did not, just killed a couple others, lol.

Well I am not sure it is worth the risk then! Haha... just dealing with it or did you go in and try to fix it?

I'm also curious. My car has a couple lights burnd out. Both up/warmer buttons no longer light up (down/cooler do), and there is definitely a bulb out behind the vent selector ****. I imagine this one should be a 194 or similar, but I imagine the little buttons have something soldered in.

Realistically, I can live without the up buttons lighting up since they are both out, but I can't stand half of the entire unit being brighter than the other half.

i had a couple of them out. when i took my car in to have the cd changer replaced under warranty i asked if they could replace the bulbs that were out while they were in there. they told me that they were l.e.d.s and the whole unit would have to be replaced.... so they did, under warranty. im pretty sure the actual cost was around $400. there was a post a while back about how to replace them with a part from radio shack, see if you can search for it.

Figured as much after seeing a picture of what the entire unit looked like while reading through some old threads about iPod adapters.

Suppose I'll search for that other thread and have some fun tearing it apart and trying to replace that one bulb.
