Resistor in key?

There is a transponder in the key, not the same as a resistor. You may be able to program additional keys without going to the dealer but I will have to research to see the procedure. Feel to chime in if you know wha I am talking about.

On ebay you can buy blanks that need to be cut for under 10, so I would assume under 20 total.

I dunno if its the same procedure, but when i program a ford key it takes 10 mins to get security access with the IDS(labtop) and about 30 seconds to program the key. if the key im doing is a 3rd key it only takes about 1 min to program it.
