Geez, which dealership is that? I had to jump through hoops to get my trans replaced, they wouldn't touch anything else that needed warranty work.

these guys are being really good to me, best service ever. mechanic was talking about gm performance parts, cam and a bunch of crap to get it to 400 hp lol, i said i diddnt have the money for that anyway. he is a really cool dude and is employee of the month haha. and they said if my oil drops even a little bit till my appointment for the overhaul to take it to them and they will give me oil for free. the place is right next to my house too.

That's how service at the dealership SHOULD be.

Just curious, but did they try to replace the valve covers to remedy the issue? Seems like a remember someone posting a TSB about the pcv portion of the valve cover having an issue....

been a lot of issues with rings. the tension on the oil rings causing fluttering and the oil consumption. Glad your dealer stepped up to the plate

i talked to the mechanic about the oil catch can, and he said it would be pointless??? so yeah. maybe in the aspect of stopping the consumption but not entering my intake which is my biggest concern. to be honest i hardly know what oil rings are, all i know is im getting my engine rebuilt for free, and rings sound expensive

Lucky, my dealership wants me to have them change the oil, and come back every 500 miles to mark off the dipstick to make sure my car is burning what I say it is.
