No rubbing at all. I'm lowered too, so no need to worry!

I don't know why everyone keeps bagging on the factory GXP tires. They work great in the snow for a 18" tire. I have ripped off some 2.0 60ft times with them as well. I wore my tires down and decided to upgrade to larger front tire. Stock rear tires are still holding up at 55k.
Pontiac did a very good job at tweaking the GXP's suspension. I would love to see someone with cheaper tires out preform the professional drivers who tested this car. The tires were put on for a reason...
Cheap *** GM, would love to have put on cheaper tires. (Chevy!!) I don't agree with having to spend 250+ each on replacements. So, if it's the price that everyone freaks out over.. then I can understand. I do not believe that any of you who have replaced your factory tires with cheaper tires have actually upgraded. New tires make a huge difference over worn out balded stock tires.
When I decided to get the Hankooks, I did a bunch of reseach...(see above link) They work great at my power level and are affordable.
Suck *** in the winter, and very... very.. unsafe. They do well in the rain and outstanding in the heat!
I have about 25% tread left after a year of hard driving. I drive this car like I stole it and it hardly ever gets pampered. (Trans is perfect btw. over 50 hard launches at the strip)
I don't street race I just like corning and accelerating up to speeds. I hardly drive over 75mph so most of the wear and tare is from jumping on it.

Curious of which tires not to buy...I was looking at Yokohama Avid Envigors but all I've heard is horror stories about them after looking around for GXP owners who had bought them.
Looking for an all-season tire that has decent tread life but doesn't totally sacrifice performance...if that exists. I'm going with the staggered fitting since rotating is nearly impossible.

Cheap where? And do you just run the 45s all around? The ones I see online are the P255/45R18 99W BLK All-Seasons, I don't see a 50r18 anywhere for the rears.
I'm in the process of getting a partial refund for the fronts which are under warranty, instead of getting the same tire I'm getting rid of all 4 for something a little better. This kind of complicates buying tires online considering I want to have everything done at a place that can address the tire warranty. The best online price I can find is $160 ish per tire, the franchise prices are around $210. I wonder if I can order the 4 online and have Les Schwab handle the mount and balance. Not sure what my best options are here
