torque management kills us
just thought it was kinda funny the first pic of the g-meter that number stayed there for ever then i had the torque management removed a few weeks ago. only bad thing is now dod has to be tuned out as it trys to in gauge but kicks off right a way. but just wanted to put this out there as i like real world numbers to go along with
the only thing that changed was the removal of torque management

I'm at a pretty big altitude with 100+ temps but having said that I have not had it back out to the track, last time I was there it cost ms a trans need to go back out I'm positive the numbers will go up on a prepped surface, just wanna get some spintecs before I go back out

^ got a laugh out of that, a transmission is not made to last forever guys, and considering the loads that are put on ours it should be expected that at some point you will have to rebuild the dang thing i bought my gxp knowing full well that i would have to put a new trans in it within a year (i knew what i was gonna do with it )

I am still confused about what exactly stops my 08 gxp from ripping the tires. From searching and this thread I get that its TM. but it feels like its doing the same thing if I am turning out quick.
Its making me angry to attempt a dramatic burnout and have it just rip thru 1st in 2 seconds and completely drop off until it decides to do the same thing again.
I have held my tcs for 10 seconds to also disable stability management and fooled around between tap shift and D. The car seems to just have a mind of its own for when it wants to do this to me and i need to have it tuned out. SHould I just delete TM and DOD while im getting my dyno tune?
The last thing i want to do is a 2 second e-brake burnout while staging. It all feels like tcs to me.
GRRRRR!

I feel like I should be able to rip the tires off the car while throttling just under or even at the rev limiter. Thats how it is in any other car ive driven?
Or be able to blow the tires off during / at the end of a turn.

Thanks for the info, I will stick with a mild tune for TM and look to replace the diff when tranny goes boom! As far as track number's go, I should work on my launch to prevent massive wheel spin obviously because if anti-score kicks in, any result in having a good et is over.
If you wanted to blow the tires off the car at a stand still (e brake) should you lightly throttle into the burnout and keep the rpm's low? or is there any other way to make sure both wheels stay equal to prevent looking like a dumb ***?
