Default Where should i put the cutout?

I know its probably been beaten to death and i tried to search for it but gave up after awhile..... When i deleted the resonator and had the whole exhaust out from the cat it sounded mean but the DOD drone would prob be unbearable so where would be the best spot? any videos? I should be recieving it from summit on monday and i would love to put it on before the Woodward Dream cruise!!!

I think if you look under the car, you will find that trying to put the exhaust cutout on the down pipe or where the resonator was, is going to be a difficult and tight fit. There is very little room either place and you don't want it hanging down too low and getting snagged on speed bumps etc. I put mine in the pipe just before the mufflers right next to the rear right wheel/tire. It was much easier and neater. Sounds great and keeps raw exhaust from getting into cabin of car. I did make a small turn down tip to aim exhaust down.

Ya, downpipe isn't the greatest idea from experience. Theres not enough room there, and the way I got mine on, was to angle it forward a bit. I will post pics when I redo my exhaust though, I am going move it to a different spot, so hopefully it works out better. Hopefully I get it done in the next few weeks.

After the resonator..The area where the exhaust tubing is about right under the rear passenger seat...I have mine there and love it because its very easy to get too, and I have the opening angled to the side and slightly down..

I've got mine by the rear pass tire.

The DOD drone/chopper sounds are pretty awful, but when i've listened to it with the gear selector in 3rd it's hardly noticeable.

i had mine on the DP but it was tucked up pretty close to where the exhaust manifolds meet the DP....it was loud as ****.....if there was no wind when you came to a stop you could smell the exhaust a little bit but i didnt think it was too bad...as long as you didnt have the fans blowing...here is what it used to sound like

Mine is closer to the mufflers though. I wanted to put mine where you want yours but the solenoid on the e-cutout stuck out more than I liked.

I installed it yesterday and its perfect. If you want a loud exhaust then this is the way to go. I received 3 compliments on it within the first 15 min one pulling into the gas station, one starting up the car to leave the gas station, then one from a group of kids at autozone. The install was VERY easy if you have the tools, only hitch was the cutout was exactly 2 1/4 dia. so i had to go to autozone and rent a tailpipe expander. The only thing that worries me is the cutout is about 5 inches away from the rear tire, but that is the only place it could go. Any harm in this? Ill post videos when i get a chance but i doubt they will do it justice.

Look at my pic above. Thats a DMH 2.5" cutout with their pipe. Just cut out the piece and weld in the pipe.

I put mine right where the pipe splits to go to both mufflers. Faces straight out the back in the middle of the car and is damn loud. Don't lose any height with the exhaust either.

Was alot of work grinding to fit but it was worth it.
