Default Do all LS4 cars have the same emmisions equip

I am trying to get my LS4 swaped Fiero certified in CA and the smog ref said I can not use a federal PCM in CA? Did GM make CA and federal cars?
If they did what is the diference?

I think there's a rpo code for different emissions.

california has stricter guide lines for the emissions control system the emission controls will be different, and sometimes the cylinder heads also...

California emissions vehicles have stricter emissions standards – they have to release fewer particulates per million than their comparable Federal counterparts.

There is a difference.
RPO codes are on the sticker in the trunk.

Decode VIN here: www.compnine.com/vid.php

From a hardware standpoint, I'm fairly certain the CA cars are no different than the 49-state cars.

Lew can probably vouch for this, but I believe the only difference is the PCM calibration.
