Buddy at work has a stock 09 g8 gt with the 6.0.
Now my car isn't really stock but nothing extreme.. A lil more flow here a lil more flow there... He took the move on the dig and I put 2 links on him.. Now he was spinning pretty hard but at the same time he said he had TC on.. So on what we thought would be a 1/4 mile I got him by about 1/2 link.. Hwy at 3 am full open road I held with him all the way thru 150..


Am I missing something here.. He's going all out and I had my wife with me in the car.. Weighing in at 150 soaking wet me at 270 ( yes I'm a big fellow)


Any input???

Stock tune is VERY restrictive.

Stock tuning in 08 are worse than 09. I still dont think my gxp could beat my g8 though.

It's all in the trans. My buddy's 135i "feels" faster because it's a 6 speed, but my car pulls HARD.

Well, if you are running 13.3s then yeah you will walk a stock G8 pretty easy.

They run about high 13s stock, hell some cant even make it outa the 14s. Like stated, tune, intake, exhaust and you will be low 13s.

There fat pigs too. That doesnt help..lol

The grand Prix is a gxp. It should be faster! The g8 is about 500lbs heavier. It does have 64 more Hp though.. so it should trap 1-2 more mph in the 1/4. Pretty much a drivers race on the street.

The g8 gt is tuned to cut back the power. Tuning will 25-30 more hp.

I could swear the G8 was 1000pds over us.
I ran a stock G8GT with my mods listed and beat him by about the same.

My dad a GM mechanic to this day does not believe me.
