Default Tires for my Monte

I know this queastion has probably been asked 100 times so far, but here goes it again.. The Monte has 83000 miles on it now and the Original Goodyears are shot, this car is my DD plus a 1/4 mile blast every so often. Based on that what tires do you all think? I am trying to keep the cost down, so I have narrowed them dowm to these 3 brands/ styles. Let me know what you think

BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2

Nitto Motivo

Sumitomo: Tour Plus LS

Thanks

I was originally going to get the Nitto Motivo tires on my 06 Monte but the place I went to had to special order them and I need something ASAP so I ended up getting the Sumitomos you listed and I love them. They have a really nice quite ride and have a ton of grip in both dry an wet settings. I think my next set of tire will be the Nitto Motivos just because I have heard amazing things about them. But I can tell you off of what I have now, the Sumitomo is a really nice tire and I would recommend it.

I use Nitto Motivos on my imp SS and they are amazing. They handle extremely well in the snow and rain. They have eliminated all torque steer and on top of it come with a 60k mile warranty. If you go through discount tire (which i looked up and they have locations in your area) you can get their awesome tire replacement warranty and the will give you free tire rotations and balances every 6k miles for the entire life of the tires. Hope this helps.

Check discount tire's ebay store. They are having a sale and the Nitto's are on the list. I am assuming you have the stock tire size.

Why would he want a drag radial when he's obviously looking for an all season tire?

Why would you take the comment seriously?

Why wouldn't I take it seriously? Everything on the internet is subjective, especially when you don't indicate a tone or emotion. Either way, it doesn't matter and is completely pointless to discuss any further. Enjoy your day!

Here is a heads up for everybody... Discount Tire will honor the Ebay pricing for their tires, so you don't have to mess with getting them shipped to your house and then hauling them into the tire shop to get them installed..I have the Monte scheduled for late next week to get my Nittos installed.. Thanks to all!...

Good to know. I'm looking at the same tires for my 99 grand prix and would like to hear what you think about them.

I made a few more calls to the local vendors and found the Motivos at Mr Tire for $147.00 each + 9.99 mounting and balancing.. So that is where I got them last Friday!! Well, I found out the noise wasn't my old Goodyears! It was the front wheel bearings BOTH!! I just replaced the Driver's side last year, so hopefully NAPA will honor the warranty on that one! So far the Nittos seem grippy on wet pavement, as that is all I have driven them on so far.. I will keep you all posted!

Thanks

I'm looking to get your feedback on the nitto's as I am in need of a set of tires for my 99 Grand Prix that I run 18's on. Thanks.

Here are my thoughts on the Motivos...So far so good, they bite MUCH better than the stock Goodyears and after about 3k miles, they seem to be wearing ok. Wet traction is excellent and not too bad in the snow. I am very happy with them!!

I for one appreciate the feedback. I went with the 555's last time. Discount tire tried to talk me out of them because they were so bad in the snow. I didn't plan on driving in winter, but when my 4x4 went down had to pull the MCSS out as a back up....and I can say, they were definitely right! HAHA, knew they'd suck but didn't plan on finding out much they did. Now looking for something in between.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't have to worry about snow out here in Southern California but good to hear about wet traction.
