^^^ I have that same black catch can on my '01 TA. bought mine on Ebay for like $20 if I remember. I mounted on the passenger head. Old pic, I took off the clear tube, and screwed in 2 screws in it's place, I just didn't like the look of the tube. But that catchcan is cheap and works good - I empty it every month or so and watery oily fluid does pour out. So you can spend $20 or $300 on it, but it keeps that crap out of the throttle body and intake.

Some people use 2 catch cans, some people use baffled, some with steel wool. It goes on and on, many debates and some cost up to $300. If you install, might as well install new PCV valve, clean up the Throttle body and MAF while your at it, I bought new hose at a Sears appliance store, but I've seen the hose at autoparts stores too.
Like I said, mine cost $20 and have had it for years, I did take off the plastic view tube as I thought it looked ricey - but that is just me.

I put stainless mesh in my single can, and have a drop tube from the inlet port to force the air to pass through the mesh & condensate any oil onto the mesh before it's drawn up through the outlet. Still trying to optimize it, but getting there before I decide to do anything with a MAF-manifold-tune later.
