Default LS4 Intake Swap Questions

I have an 08 LaCrosse Super and am trying to decide which intake to swap. I have a couple questions.

1) Does anyone have experience with the Overkill Shutter intake on the Super or any LS4 for that matter?
http://www.getoverkilled.ca/ls4.html

2) Has anyone done any intake swap on their Super? What was your experience and what would you do the same/different next time?

3) Generally speaking, what is the best intake swap? I want something that will give extra power but remain reliable for the long haul.

Thanks everyone who helps me out! I will definitely post the build when I choose one and do it.

Mat

I know one that has, great quality and if you cannot perform the work it is highly recommend for a bolt in affair. Working on the super will be the same as the grand prix etc in regards to working

I'm also curious on lq4 vs. ls6 intake numbers.
I've seen a couple of different tests by different magazines, all with different results.

The LS2 intake requires the fewest modifications to get it to work, while not the best intake to swap, once ported properly, performs slightly better then the LS6 and almost on par with the original fast 90. The TBSS is by far the best of the factory intakes, followed by LS6, standard truck, then LS2 (stock) then LS1.

Don't you have to cut the bottom out due to the VLOM?

That's not correct truck intake, the older prior to 06 are the ones that'll fit.

Correct - the one in the link isn't cathedral I believe. Should correct my last statement, tbss fits with a lot of modification + ps pump mods

Well the tbss intakes we're both cathedral and made as square port for the 07 08 years.

However yes I have battled with the tbss. Lots of work to be done for sure. I do have a electric steering retrofit I'm going to attempt when I return back to the states

Is the work that needs to be done the sanding down to change the appearance or is it to get the intake to physically fit?

Damn, that sucks. Looking forward to the electric ps set up when you get that figured out, should free up some horsepower I would think.
