Lightbulb Shock Tower Brace

As of now im driving a stock 1997 LT1 Z28. Whats the deal with these (shock tower braces?) they are not very expensive but do i really need one of these things if im not putting out over 350hp? or if i buy one will i just drive down the road and notice a difference in handling? Should be very simple installation if i do get one. jw thanks

Its more for handeling than anything and also looks cool! Takes 3 minutes to put on unless you get a 3+ point STB

You won't notice much with it. I would spend the money on other suspension mods first like, panhard bar, torque arm, springs & shocks etc etc

Also add lower control arms to that list.

I think the first thing should be done is sub frame connectors welded on. Its more important than STB.

Why is that? I noticed better results with the panhard bar and torque arm over sfc's. They brought out more rattles then anything....

If he plans to put around 350hp there will be some body flex on T-top and vert cars, sfc's would stiffen the car up a lot. If he's a hard top then ya I would recommend the torque arm and panhard over sfc's to notice improvement in handeling.

Only reason I said sfc's because thats one of the first things that needs to be done on our cars. Factory didnt think we would modfied our cars to put out more than 285hp if they did im sure we would have some sort of full frame.

stb's are ok but the most important suspension mod u could do is
1) SFC's boxed and welded
2)torque arm: adjustable if lowering the car
3) control arms
4) panhard rod
