a lil lithium grease on the outside of the tb and the inside edge of the elbow should do the trick.

Cold air kit's come before the elbow, the elbow is a whole separate piece. They do make aftermarket elbows, but they are pretty much the same size. The stock one should fit over the TB.

I mean, aren't they the same size? Just ported bigger in the middle? Maybe I'm wrong.

i just replaced my trickflow with a 1le and i had to take the clamp completely off to put the elbow on the tb. it wouldnt slide on even with the clamp on full loose. for the record my trickflow was WAY smaller than the 1le.

They're the same It's just the cheaper "elbow" you have that the rubber isn't stretching as much. Had you gotten a real LT1 elbow, you wouldn't have this problem.

I don't think that kit comes with the elbow - atleast it doesn't say so anywhere in the ad. It looks like an aftermarket elbow hooked up with an EBay CAI.

If you want a CAI and don't have the money to spend $200, buy one used on here for about $80. If not, go with the Ebay one but you mite have fitment problems.

yea this is just rediculous, dude the exterior size of the throttle body is exactly the same, and for the record i got a 1LE elbow and it was a PITA to put on, used a little lube and it slid right over the throttle body. just takes some time and elbow grease for the first couple times.

what throttle body are you working with?

Use a little Vaseline and some warming lube...I mean a heat gun...don't ask me how I know, but it works! Seriously though I have used Vaseline on some hoses I thought would never go on in a million years (Like 1 1/4 over an 1 1/2 fitting) and a little Vaseline and heat did the trick.
