Default studs or bolts...

How many of you guys are running +200hp nitrous on an LT1, and what are you using... Im debating between the two (bolts or studs) and torn due to bad experiences ive been reading about. i personally had good luck on two sbc's with studs, but seems LT1's dont do so swell. let me know!

my builder recommended bolts as it would be easier to remove the heads in case anything happens. i'll be spraying 200 in the future.

just from knowing that studs are usually abit stronger id go for studs. however. if you ever plan on taking the heads off while the engines in the car. youll never be able to do it with studs.

I have sprayed 300 thru my motor but will be spraying 400 thru it very soon......

and I use ONLY studs...... 200 shot you'll be good with bolts. Hell 250 you could use bolts....

I just want cheap insurance and the cost between the two is minimal....

Exactly, studs allow better clamping force (finer thread) to contain cylinder pressure.
Definitely a wise investment for an N20 car.

Studs dumdumdum. and when you pull the heads, dont have to worry about coolant falling in the bolt holes, thus blowing them out.

Studs and

As stated above, up to about a 250 hit of dope, i use bolts, but if i was to go bigger, studs all the way.

well... unanimous decision here huh. yeah, i was thinking about it today and said to myself that as often as my k-member comes out its a no-brainer. dont plan on pulling heads in the car. thanks guys, ill post up results in a bit when i get this thing back together. had some unfortunate family issues come up, so put the plans on hold. btw, i know someone wants to donate a part number so i dont have to beat my head on the wall using the search function
