Default Should I replace the rear main seal?

I just completed my engine build, but it is still on the engine stand. I purchased a lightly used short block (I can still see the hone marks on the cylinders). It was professionally built by a shop in IL. I have spent the summer acquiring and installing all the parts (far too many to list) to make it a complete engine.
I was going through my Felpro gasket kits this weekend to make sure I left nothing out, and I noticed that I have a new rear main seal. I visually inspected the seal on the engine, and it appears to be fine. Should I go ahead and put the new one in, or keep it as a spare? I would have to remove the Canton oil pan to do so (a real PITA due to fitment issues) but I could do it. What do you think?

I've always been one to change out old parts during any kind of swap. Knowing it's a fresh part or seal in your case would give me a sense of "knowing I did it and it's been addressed." So yes, I would personally.

The way it work is, it should look fine on the stand, but will start leaking once every done and installed.

Dammittall, you were supposed to say "No, you'll be fine...".
There is no emoticon for "Big Sigh".
Yeah, that's what I thought also when I realized what I was looking at. I just wanted to make sure I was not being overly paranoid.
Thanks guys, guess I'll be rasslin' that damm pan again.
