Default Jethot Y pipe problem

Hey so I noticed on my jethot ypipe the 3 bolt flange is actually starting to bend where the bolts would go in. Its causing the pressure to not evenly being distributed all around the flange and is resulting in an exhaust leak that is really annoying. Have any of you guys had this problem and what did you did to fix it?

I had the same problem. My solution was switch over to LPP long tubes and use slip-fit connections. I'll never use a 3-bolt flange y-pipe again as they will always tend to leak. Not to mention you lose ground clearance as well. I lived with the leak for awhile as it wasn't that bad.

If you don't plan to remove the headers any time soon, just take it to an exhaust shop and have them cut off the flanges and weld the headers to the y-pipe.

Yea although the LPP headers are really nice, I dont have the time or money to do that swap. I thought about having the flanges cut off and welded but i realized that I need to be able to remove that y pipe in the future.

I keep trying to get a hold of jet hot and see if they can send me a replacement y pipe only but they never pick up their phone.

I put on some Percys dead soft aluminim collector gaskets in the mean time and it did help but there is still a tick that bothers me.

Cutting a y-pipe in the future and re-welding it again is not that big of a deal. My buddies y-pipe has be hacked and re-welded multiple times. Takes just a minute and a sawzall to remove the y-pipe and a few quick welds to put it back up.

Isn't that ticking noise annoying?! JK.
