Default where is the stock amp

i have a 1996 camaro and alot of people have told me that the problem i am having with my speakers is because of the amp. so im trying to change it and the problem is i cant find it does anybody know where it might be???

what kind of radio do you have? bose? monsoon?

not sure if its same as ls1s..

if it is take off your spare tire cover, take the jack and tire out and it will be bolted up in there.. where your antenna is at (right behind it)..

No it is behind the passenger side sail panel plastic. Pull the plastic and you will see it towards the bottom.

sounds like the same place.. you should be able to reach it through where the spare is.. no?

i tried those places and it not there. ill try the side panel again coz i didnt look good enough there but i know for a fact that its not behind the spare. im pretty sure if its noticeable in the side panel i would of seen it when i took it off but i didnt see it so.... i took off the center counsil and its not there either

at center console... sorry..


ummmmm.. you gotta search for it.. if its like the ls1s its bolted to a little platform sitting sideways... look good up in there. you cant reall see it just looking, you will probably feel it..

It is towards the floor. Like if you were sitting in the backseat it would be by your feet behind the panel. It's a small black box with tons of wires in it.

well after i change the fuse before it blows out it makes a continues knocking sound. where would it be in the LS1's

I thought the Bose system had independent amplifiers that are on the speakers themselves including the woofer?
Did this problem just start or did you install the aftermarket head unit and then have the problem?
