Default Best Mid Length Headers?

I was gonna put LT's on my car considering im getting a new engine but the owners of my car (parents) told me i had to get some that were emissions legal. So i figured mid length was the best way to go. What are the best ones for the money out there?

True mids on a 96-97 won't cut it for you in California neither. Because of the whole dual-cat thing, we are stuck with shorties, whereas, the 94-95's can use a real midlength, so long as they are certified like SLP's and JBA's. I have JBA shorties but have AS&M mids waiting to go on even though it's a risk. If you have a hookup on smog or can find someone who doesn't care about visuals then don't worry about running a longtube or whatever for that matter.

According to the California Air and Resources Board some mid length headers are legal. I know Pacesetters are.

IMO some of the best mids to go with are the Mac's. Quality header and good performance gains.

i think the reasoning is that a motor breaking in can create hot spots in the coating I believe? I could be wrong, going off memory
