Default Help

just did cAm heads intake car ran all day and driving home and it just shut off now it wont start

Back to the basics, fuel-spark-air.

So I'm assuming it cranks but won't fire up?

Test your fuel pressure to see that the pump didn't kick the bucket.

See if you are getting spark to the plugs, see if you are getting spark out of the coil.

Check your fuses.

has fuel and spark cranks right to the point of starting then it wont fire all the way over

Hmmm...let me guess, you floored it and the car died, now it won't start?

Hate to wave the opti flag, but it sounds like your rotor detached from the opti.

That's assuming you are having adequate fuel pressure at the rail and that you have spark at the coil and possible intermittent spark at the plugs.

i was just driving normal and hit the gas and died i hope its not the opti cause i wont bedriving for a while

i have to agree with that.

i would have replaced the opti while everything else was apart, as most would suggest.

did the cap and rotor the opti was replaced 10 000 miles ago thought it would of been fine but guess not

Order the new opti from the partsladi on ebay. took the plugs out and cylinder number 1 and 3 were fouled really bad there rest were not all that bad. Any reason for this or further problems?

You could have fouled plugs before the opti went bad (if in fact it did go bad). Was the car missing at all before it died?

no car ran great. My brother informed me today who was behind me that a decent amount of smoke came out of the exhaust
