No doubt it but be careful with that. Those engines and shields get hot! I don't know about removing it like I said just be careful.

Nope. Took mine off when I ran the stock hood. Don't have one on my aftermarket one either. You will be fine.

Took mine off my LT1. Never had problems. Currently don't have one for my LS1. Paint is perfect.

Well if you think about it, not all the hoods came with the heat shielding material underneath. Like my SS hood. And they don't use any special paint on a hood without one, so you'll be fine.

Technically it isn't a heat shield. It's a fire blanket, supposedly designed to dislodge and smother the flames under the hood if there was ever a fire. The fact that it doubles as a heat shield is a bonus.

Me either heh I'd be interested to see actually how well it works.

Me 93 either didn't come with one (don't see any mounting points) or doesn't have one now, no problems here!

Whether or not it actually functions as such is anyone's guess.

Formula, why don't you set fire to your engine bay and see if it actually works?

Your attempt at being a witty smart *** failed due to your inability to read all of a post

Of course, Me = My, since I'm sure that'll induce much confusion on your end.
