How much do you have to spend?
A typical cam swap will cost you around $1000+. Don't forget you need a PCM tune as well, so factor that in.
If I were you, I'd pick up a long tubes and a CAI at the bare minimum, before doing a cam change. You need the compliment of parts to really make the car scream.
Then again, since you just seem to be interested in sound alone, you could do it with no other mods.

I would give Lloyd a call and have him do a custom grind for ya. Do you have to pass emissions/smog testing? That ult. decides just how "mean" you can go and how it will sound. If you don't have to deal with the sniffer then I would go with something in the 107-109 lsa for that "mean" sound you are looking for. I'm running a 109lsa and the sound is pretty sweet.

I used a Comp cam 305 setup. Also had long tubes, mass air, and k-n intake set up. Idles great, little chop, vacum is fine and traffic is no problem. Did I mention a blower too? I still drive it to the mountains or to the beach same performance... Nice. Good luck with your decision
