EDIT: After looking at your pics somemore, 3rd pic down, it looks like you still need to cut one of the ribs some more. That might be stopping the pump from seating.

IIRC, it was a bit of a pain to trim it all down and get it to fit ... but it eventually did.
The rest of the install is somewhat less painful.
Swapping the pins between connectors was the fun part LOL ... it was cold out that day.

In retrospect, I should have taken pics.

I agree with slp. I had to pretty much cut those ribs out completely before mine would fully seat.

I don't know why its not seating still, I'd try and call up Racetronix and see what they say. What part number did you get btw?

EDIT: From the pic of the bucket and the pic of the bottom of the new fuel pump, it appears that the pump needs to be clocked a certain way before it will seat. Try to line up the teeth of the bucket with what appears to be grooves on the bottom of the pump. If I am mistaken about that, sorry. I installed my Walbro pump a long time ago.

Bringing this one back from the dead because Racetronix is of no help at all. How far down did you shave the ribs? Pics? The ones on this thread are broken. How did you end up doing the actual shaving?
