Trick Flow 195 CC heads
After coming to the conclusion my ported stockers suck, I am looking into buying a set of these heads. I found one set for $1300 shipped to my door. I had a chance to purchase some LE2s fairly cheap a while back but waited around too long. Just from checking the specs on these 2 heads they seem to be somewhat similiar? Has anyone here gotten them any cheaper than 1300 bucks? Or had any bad experiences with these heads? Any feedback is appreciated

I run them. They are decent. They kill compression on a stock 350 though, the chambers are 62cc.
LE2's will blow them away. The stock Trickflows flow in the 250 range at their peak. I paid $840 for bare castings 3 years ago. Fully assembled at that time were $1200ish iirc. They are an AMAZING casting to send out to a reputable porter for work to be done though.

Usually:
stock castings < aftermarket stock castings < ported stock castings < ported aftermarket castings

I dont really have the cash to blow on any heavy duty porting at the moment. Otherwise I would probably get the LE3s. Plus this is for a Weekendcar/Occassional DD I would think these heads would be ok? Would 380 rwhp be a reasonable estimate with the addition of the Trick Flows to my current setup? I'm trying to squeeze out a few more ponies without breaking my wallet.

I'm a huge fan of big valve ported stockers, but I just opened the new Summit catalogue and saw that Trick Flow now offers an n/a version of a 185cc head with 54cc chambers, 2.02/1.60 stainless valves, 21 deg valve angle, double springs, locks, guide plates, etc...CNC profiled, bowl blended, fast as cast technology whatever that means...Just thought they looked interesting...Have no knowledge of their performance...Might be worth looking into and do some research on...$1495/pair...Just an FYI...

I'm just looking for a few extra hp. I'm 21 and kind of limited on funds at the moment. But I found a pair of assembled new Trickflows locally for 1200. I'm pretty tempted just to get them. Maybe on down the road I could have LE port them.

The guy who ported these heads basically looked at a picture of an LT4 head/ports and tried to match it the best he could. The motor was stock at the time. This was also a few months after I got the car and I hadnt really done much research on heads etc yet. Yeah stupid I know, but I just figured a decent aftermarket casting would be alot better than what I have now. And definitely give me something to work with later on if I wanted to.
