Default fuel pump help!!!!!

i recently changed to a walbro 255 and am getting fuel and everything is plugged up correctly and ive checked all fuses and relays but the car will not start. i have a 97 z28 6m this is a new motor most everything has been replaced any help greatkly apreciated.

have you checked your fuel pressure?

yes im getting fuel from the schrader valve but i dont have a pressure gauge to accuratley check it

you should check it. have you checked for spark?

im getting spark thats the wierd thing. i have no access to a gauge till tomorrow but i have a job interview tomorrow lol so im trying to get it fixed and i cant think of anything ive missed. ive done this on 2 other lt1s and no problems so im lost.

is fuel shooting out of the schrader valve when you depress it after the pump has primed?

yes it is. but when i try to crank the motor it just turns and turns.

well damn, all you need is fuel, air, compression, and spark. You say you have spark but are you absolutely positive? You should probe to make sure the optical part of the opti and the icm are working correctly.

im sure its sparking ive put it up to the alternator and watched it spark several times. but i have now lost pressure from the schrader valve it is much slower coming out now.

sounds like something didnt get hooked up right. did you drop the tank or did you go the trap door method?

so the pump is now working and i have good fuel pressure now but it still wont start and now i have this wat sounds like spraying sound and it still wont start

where is this spraying sound coming from? are you sure its not the fuel pump priming?
