Default pilot bearing removal

anybody know any trick on how to remove these. The grease idea is not working due to the fact that my bearing is bent out of shape and nothing has a tight grip around it. Any ideas?

I use the wet toilet paper method, I keep packing wet toilet paper behind it and then keep tapping on the paper with a ratchet extension and a hammer, it eventually comes out, its a pain in the ***.

If you have a 5/8-11 tap or know some one who does it works well. I used the tap to put threads in the bushing and a 5/8 bolt to push the bushing out by screwing in the bolt until it bottoms out it will push the bushing out. If your bushing has a lot of wear you would have to go to a bigger tap. I used this method on mine just a few weeks ago and the bushing came out super easy.

Its probaly not worth buying a tap just for this if you don't already have one though.

Just get the loaner pilot bearing removal tool attachment and slide hammer from Autozone. That's what I did.

IF it is a pita bearing I usually just drill a couple of holes in it and break it

Hammer and chisel worked for me. It wouldn't budge with the tool.

Yep, that's what everyone should do. I don't see any pilot bearing trumping a big slide hammer.
