Question LT1 throttle lag ??

Hey ya'll,
Wife has a 93 LT1 Z car. Recently had the full monty tune up with plugs, wires, etc. but the car still has this annoying lag in the throttle response during acceleration.
I have heard a couple of people talking about this problem and that there was some sort of electrical (in-line plug in module) that takes care of this. Anyone heard of it or know where to get one?
Car is an automatic, and if you punch it it takes off like a bat....normal or moderate accel leads to the boooogggggg....
Thanks,
Kev

This may or may not help, but my car had some serious hesitation issues when I had a roller rocker get loose. The car was ok at a cruise, moderate acceleration you felt it hesitate, but if you punched it the thing would still pick up and go.

Thats weird, speed density cars are known for good throttle response. I dont know of any modules to adjust the lag in throttle response though. I have a 93 and with mine the main problem was the trans took for ever to down shift, it was a dog. I got the Vigi 3200 Torque Converter now and it acts way better when you put your foot on it. But I did notice with the stock converter it took for ever to down shift. So any punch from a roll was just painfull.

That sounds good but...wife's car. I wish I could convince her to get the converter. As for now, I am having a hard enough time keeping her out of my LS1's lol...
I think I'm gonna try and find a chip for it and see what happens. There hasn't been much feedback on this so I can only assume it's not to common.

Check your TPS - make sure the voltages are chaging properly with throttle actuation.

Mine does it too. I just spent tons of money getting a full tune up and it still does it. Reminds you of a car with a bad fuel filter....... no clue what it is though.

It's caused by a bad ignition module. That's the little black box mounted on the front of the driver's side cylinder head. LT1's are notorious for this; I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it except me!
