Default LT1 engine swap question

I've got a 97 Camaro SS with a blown motor and a 95 LT1 to put back in it. Will my 97 harness plug right into the 95 or will i have to swap over anything?

97 is OBD II
95 is OBD I

You need the 97 front timing cover for the crank sensor on the 95 LT1 engine.

As stated, swap the '97 timing cover & cps sensor, the reluctor ring, and the '97 crank hub and balancer on to the new engine.
That will make the new engine identical to the old one.

Except for the fact that you will also need the additional EVAP vacuum switch and connecting hoses off your old engine. The 95 does not have this switch. Just another additional OBD-II thing. Your 1997 computer will complain if you don't have the switch there to connect the harness plug into.

i swaped in a 94 into my 97 few years ago, and as i remember i had to leave my CPS connector off and swap over the front timing chain cover and distributer as i remember. as well as the coil, and it ran perfect
