mine still runs perfect but a guy here has a block from a B-body that I can get for 50 so I thought I would pick it up and start a build and still drive mine in the mean time
Thanks

happened to me once at a junkyard... i got an "lt1" from a TA, turned out to be a baby lt1, i guess the last owner of that TA got tired of being beat, lol, and junked the car... anyways moral of the story:
make sure to check the casting numbers
327 on the side
5.7 on top

Yes, it looks exactly identical. You couldn't teall at all until you looked at the casting number in the back. Also all 5.7 LT1's have a big "327" cast into the sides of the block, if it's not there, don't buy it...
OP. The Bbody and Fbody 5.7 blocks are identical. Heads, cam, and acc's are different though.

Pretty sure. You'd have to find a way to bore it from 3.76" to 4" if it can be done.
EDIT... I forgot that the 4.3 Baby LT1 has a 3" stroke and 5.94" rods. You'd have to swap cranks too. I'm assuming that the deck height is the same.
