Default Do I need an aftermarket TB

I have a stock short block with a .584 int .579 exh. Ported stock heads 30# injectors and full exhaust. I have a stock TB and I have been told in the past I dont need an aftermarket one. What do you guys think? Factory or Aftermarket?

If you have the money and you will be adjusting your tune, go for it. Otherwise, no, you don't need an aftermarket TB.

I will be adjusting the tune due to a gear change. So I figured i might look into the TB. Is it goingto help though? I dont want to put money into this if its not going to make a difference. I like the stock look under the hood.

On heads cam car you will notice a gain. How much and whether or not it's worth the 300+ bucks is yet to be determined...

Would the Summit brand 58mm TB be a bad choice?

On ebay. 130 or so ro get a stocker ported to 52mm. Most of those guys offer a 30+ core buy back. 54mm is the max and one guy does em for 199. But aftermarket ones sure are pretty though.

Me too

Did you have any problems with yours spinning past 90* and throwing a TPS high voltage code?
