Default Edelbrock intake. Should I?

Anybody strapped on a edelbrock tunnel-ram intake on a LT1? And If you did what do you think and do you suggest it? I have a viscous oil leak in the rear of my intake gasket and I figured while i'm at it, upgrade it. Is it worth the money?

Intake manifold? No..it'll probably hurt your hp to be honest. Stock LT1 intake is good up until like 500ish hp I think. After that you just wanna get it ported and polished. Stock is fine. Save the 400 bucks and buy a cam haha.

You might wanna put what mods you have, year and tranny in your sig too if you are going to ask questions. That way we don't have to guess. For all I know, you might have a 600 hp motor and that would make my answer wrong! Welcome to LS1Tech.

Pretty much stock. BBK 52MM throttle body, Granatti mass air flow sensor, air foil, cold air intake. Thats it for air/fuel mods. Nowhere near 500 hp. Thanks guys good to know. Saved me some money. What do you guys think about those intakes on ebay that have been ported and polished and painted?

stick with the stocker, if you want the manifold to look like its from too fast too furious, paint it.

If you are making enough power to need an upgrade the Edelbrock would be the wrong way to go.

People are WAY too eager to assume the stocker is a problem and Edelbrock preyed on that ignorance by releasing a product that sofar the best that can be said of it is that is is a readily available "new" intake manifold as opposed to reusing a used one. There have been indications of lost power even.

Quick Reply: Edelbrock intake. Should I?
