Default No oil pressure???

Just finished getting my car back on the road, new exhaust, opti, tranny front seal, and subframes.

While driving home i take off from a stop sign and car gets way down on power, i mean way down, look at gauges and it is running a little hot but the oil pressure is steady dropping till it gets to 0. Turn the car off, check underhood, oil is still good on stick, get my EWP to turn back on (short), and crank the car. sounded like a high compression motor turning over (really slow), cranks. Making some new noises while cranking but not while running.

Pull back on highway, Still wayyyyy down on power, does not want to shift, it ran way up in the RPM's before it would shift, still had oil pressure at this point. go about 1/4 mile like this and the oil pressure is steady dropping.

After killing and restarting several times (i won't run it with 0 oil pressure) i made it to the house. I think the oil pump may be giving up? Maybe it is locking up causing my no power issue and low oil pressure?

Drain the oil and see what's in it. Bet you've spun a bearing.

What kind of noises was it making? I would drain the oil look for shavings and maybe pull the sparkplugs check them out and try to spin the crank with a wrench see how it feels.

Will the oil sending unit put the car in limp mode? I dont think it will but who knows. I know my oil sending unit was reading off by about 20-30psi when I replaced it.

When are you going to drain the oil? I am curious to know what it is sounds pretty strange. Ohh what transmission do you have? Never mind from your first post i take it it's auto.

Could be the Pickup kicking around in the Pan if you hear that only when you are Cranking..

You definately have some Bearing issues after all that though..drain your Oil and see if it looks like glitter.
