Anyone Using E3 Plugs?

Save your money.
The only benefit may be a slightly longer plug life and a noticably lighter wallet. Its not some huge triple spark going on, the spark will always travel the path of lease resistance and only arc to one tip at a time.
Plain old TR55s last ages in a good running LTX anyway.

I put 80K on a set of E3s in my Grand Am GT. Never had a single problem with them, this was after a set of NGK Iridiums. After 80K I have to say they looked pretty darn good, the "3" point system didn't seem to wear out as quickly as the it did on the NGKs (which only had 60K on them). Plus when I switched from the NGKs I got a lot of "butt dyno power" back. Engine was much more responsive. Granted this was due to changing the worn out NGKs.
The NGKs and E3s cost me the same (within $1) between the two brands.
However the 80K on the E3s were pretty impressively clean over the NGKs 60K.
Am I saying these are the best plugs EVVVAAAARRR. No. But I was impressed with the quality and how well they held up in the long run. It was enough that I bought a set for the TA and will put them in soon.

The shop I used to work at got sent a few sets of E3 plugs when they were in development. They wanted us to test them (dyno) on a few vehicles and send them the results. We saw no gain on any of our tests. Also did some fuel economy tests that yielded no noticeable difference.

Customers have brought there cars into the toyota dealer I work at and found the problem being e3 plugs. They put NGK IX plugs in and problem solved. They were throwing misfire codes.
