My car runs too damn hot!
Now tomorrow morning im running my own wires to power the fans w/ high and low speed.
But what else could cause this? After my car has kind of heated its self up because im stuck at a light too long the next time i stop, itll heat up so quickly. i have a 160 thermo but while driving at a good speed itll work its self down to the 2nd line. but after sitting too long and it hits 210, from there on out itll just cruise up to red line. its extremely scary

Eh, boiling coolant is NOT NORMAL! Nor will it be fixed by a tune unless your car is running awfully poorly due to lack of a tune.
Normal suspects for overheating are bad fan motors, water pump, poorly bled cooling system etc...

Yep - I'm replacing my head gaskets right now - DoublePlusUnFun!
10 out of the 12 Exhaust bolts were only finger-tight (!) and the rear-most cylinder head bolts around Cylinder 8 were 'torqued' to about 15 ft-lbs - You just gotta' LUV Dealership Technicians!
If your car sees temps high enough to boil coolant, that is a big warning flag.

1. It is not because your car needs tuned.
2. It is NOT normal for this to happen.
3. SOMETHING IS WRONG.
Start from the beginning and check everything. Make sure both fans are kicking on and bleed the system. Are you losing any coolant over a period of time?
Tuning is only going to lower the temp at which the fans come on, nothing else. In your case, it is going to be fairly normal for your car to reach 210, but it should not be going any higher.

If the car has a cam it needs to be tuned and that is all there is to it... the temp that is needed to turn on and off the fans should be lowered, as in a tune, this will decrease the chance of the motor detonating, my N/A motor ran warm after I first put a cam in it ( un tuned ) I just ended up wasting alot of effort trying to mask it until I got it tuned

okay i got the fans hooked up through my own wiring. i love it! it plugs into the radiator and once it hit a certain temp it kicks on. i installed a switch to switch from low to high speed. With fans running it can maintain the temp. Low speed temp will gradually rise at a stoplight in 105 deg. Texas weather! hah
High temp keeps it at 190-195ish. In winter/spring/fall it stayed at 185 and it NEVER EVER reached 210 no matter what circumstances.
I really need to know how to change the temp setting through JET DYNAMIC SPECTRUM.
I plan on getting a dyno very soon from Moe Bailey. Just trying to scrape up some cash lol
