You don't list any part numbers.

Personally, I'd go with the 10308 kit from Crane.

Valve springs is not something you want to do twice. I would hold out for the 10308 because it includes locks, retainers, and seats. Like I said you don't list any part numbers for the springs so I don't know what they are.

You don't listen very well, do you?

Why would you want to spend the money twice, and install valve springs twice?! Makes absolutely no sense. Do it right the first time.

Honestly if you can't afford 250 for springs why the hell are you in the middle of a cam swap? You should have had everything bought then torn your motor apart. But it sounds like you have to learn the hard way so spend almost 500 in the long run for 2 sets or buy 1 and get it over with. Ive been where you are. You seem young and kind of know what you want to know what you want to do with your car. You just wanted it to sound nice, so you bought a cheap cam thats not that good but sounds good and now you want to skimp on springs. Sooner or later you will learn, I did and im only 19. Start listening to people on here, Joe knows what he's talking about.

you posted some solid roller springs, some flat tappet springs, etc. jegs has the crane 10308s listed as shipping next week. the first springs you listed (174000) would probably work ok if you can get a coil bind figure... I'd shim them as much as you can. I wouldn't expect them to last very long though, they're a flat tappet spring, and the heavy HR valvetrain will beat them up.

well i just turned 17. everyone has doen this at soem point in some way. i am not going to buy a set of springs and have to wait for them **** THAT. i guess i am going to have to learn the hard way because only a few nice people decide to chime in. i need to just get a set of cheapeys on it so i cna limp back and forth to school my only means of transportion. plus i am not allowed to have a job because i am still in school. i have to nickel and dime everything and anything i ever have had. i have bought everything that is mine the car my cutlass everything so it is hard for me to look at wantign to spend that type of money when i have to wait 3 months to maybe be able to get that much.
