Default LT1 newbie help me with this Demon possessed car

All right here we go.
I just bought a 95 LT1 383 stroker with a D1SC procharger ,
the car has been sitting dead for about 3 years .
I have swapped out the opti for a known good piece ,
I have spark at the coil, plugs and injector pulse.
fuel pressure starts at 42PSI , but drop fast as soon as the pump stops running ...down to 20 PSI in about 30 seconds or so,
I have a couple of ideals on this ..could the check valve in the pump be gummed up from 3 year old gas ??
can i disassemble it and clean it ??
it trys to hit ,,but im going to drain the tank and add some fresh premium and a couple cans of injecror cleaner ..anything im missing ??
thanks for your help..Dave.

The starting pressure seems fine. Once you get the engine going though I think the pressure should go higher rather than lower, to 43-49psi off the top of my head. Have you checked for a cracked/damaged injector?

The diaphram in the pump is probably shot. I would change the pump for starters..then the filter and go from there.

yep walbro for sure, buy them on ebay for 100 bux with a wire kit. Then that will probably fix your problem. Does the car actually run and idle or just run then die immediately?

+1 - That is why you are seeing the pressure bleed off after shutdown. Also, pull the fuel rail (with injectors and fuel lines attached) and turn the ignition to position #1 (DON'T START IT) to pressurize the pump and see if any of your injectors are leaking.

That orange camaro is badass!

are you going to use those coffee cans in the engine bay as mufflers? Saw something like that on a Honda the other day and it looked damn good!

Thanks for the compliments ...I kinda fell in love with it at first sight ...it has a 10 pt wolfe moly cage ..moser 9" and all BMR front and rear suspension...no the coffee cans are actually full of lead shot to simulate the weight of the complete .engine/trans /cooling system ...for setting the ride height while I build the headers ...theres about 450 lbs on the nose ..under the coffee cans there is a milk crate with weights in it ...I started a build thread ....but progress has been a little slow ...too many projects ..lol
