Dont you think it would depend on the motor combination...

Stock gap is .050", not .055".

Plug choice depends on the motor. TR55s and TR55IX are very popular for stock and mild N/A motors.

It depends on what you're plugs coming out look like. You may need to go to a hotter or colder plug, but I would start with putting OE AC Delco's in, then pull them after 30 days and see what they look like and adjust if necessary.

How would you know based on high mileage plugs to go to a hotter or colder plug on a completely new, rebuilt motor with different characteristics that OEM?

My current setup = NGK TR6IX gapped at 0.037" - but I'm boosted.

When N/A, I was running TR55IX gapped at 0.052"

Go with stock to start.
Then, run them for awhile.
Then, depending what they look like coming out will tell you what direction is needed to go in, if any.
( running lean, carbon foul - tan, white, black, yada, yada etc. )

Ok, a1 cam kit.
Is that a longer or shorter duration than oe ?
I hadn't seen that post.
What other mods from oe are in place ?
