Default Cammed Guys Lets see your timing tables

Just want to get an idea of what you cammed/headed Guys are running for timing. Trying to get this thing tuned! I got the AFR just right now I need to get the timing tables right. My mods are stock shortblock, LE1 heads, .026 head gaskets, 11.4/1 compression, 226/230 .565/.565 111 lsa. Here is my timing tables. I'm getting a knock retard When I first put the pedal to the Floor.

I can send you mine and Cory's, although our cams are quite a bit different than yours.

where did you get those tables from?? i'm on my phone at work right now, i'll get back to you tomorrowish with a longer reply... what kinda advance are you running at idle? IIRC you're at like 20,000 ,000ft elevation but i still dont see a point for so much advance in alot of areas in those tables.

I agree, that much advance is unnecessary. I think this is based on a solomon tune right pyro?

those certainly arent the tables from the tune I sent you..

You should not have timing over 36, who tuned your ride?

Guys, you can have timing over 36 at other areas than wot in the table... Even stock is higher than that. 50 is quite excessive though...

I think stock maxes out at 46 in those low map mid rpm areas, I would also like to see some timing tables to compare with mine. I tuned my VE and MAF and the WOT stuff but I haven't touched my timing tables because there is no knock anywehere in it right now and my datalogger mysteriously stopped logging knock and IAC counts.

Yup these are from a solomon tune. Spent the $70 bucks with Him and the car runs pretty good except for some knock retard when you first nail the gas. I logged the car all last week and He tweaked it 3 times. Its getting better I just want the knock retard to go away. And yes I'm @ 6,000 ft elevation and only have 91 octane available as the highest grade pump gas.

Wow, that's a tune exactly for your setup? I thought it was just a starting point from someone elses solomon tune.

This drastically reduces the respect I had for him as a tuner.

No biggie, wish I had more time to get down there. We could shoot for a sunday, but looks like I'm busy the other 6 days of the week with this new job.

Corys car is doing pretty good, trapping 110+ at 9200 DA not even shifting out of 3rd gear lol

It "seems" to make more power because the timing table is violent. lol
