Has my tune been knocked off after rebuild if not then wht?
What's up guys i have a 95 impala ss and i have a LE2 top end cam package and at 125k i rebuild the bottom end. My car was dynotuned prior to the rebuild and ran great, after the rebuild I developed a idle issue, so i started playing with the throttle body and no luck. Then I did some researching and some were saying it may be the MAF, so i had one that I bought a while ago from a forum member switched it out along with the IAC sensor that TPS. I have new Plugs autolite platniums in new opti. I also have fairly new O2 sensors less than 15k or so new walbro fuel pump ect. I'm lost i was just wondering if I need to have my car dyno tuned again to line everything up again. Also seems to running a little rich also becaus i can kind of smeel gas as im idling in traffic but nothing major. I was considering what to check out before I went and had my car dyno tuned again. Thanks and the only thing replaced in the bottome end was the rings bearing ect, I also had the block honed and the machine shop. Can somebody help, Car seems to run fine other than the first start up and pulling off. I'm sorry for sooo long LOL Plust help thanks

i was told by the builder that the idle may just need to be bumped up about 150 rmp with a tunercat, but i'm just confused as to how the original tune could be off with just building up the bottom end, any other ideas

I'm sure this has already been ruled out, but doesn't the computer reset to factory tune if it you disconnect power to it? Or is it just the blm memory that erases? Just a thought.

so would i have to get another dyno tune to get the max performance out of the new bottom end or just have him bump the idle up a little with a programmer? thanks
