Default Oh how I just LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE my LT1!

******* piece of ****.

This is after being parked for an hour and a half.

I swear I can't keep this thing roadworthy for more than a month at a time.
Brakes started squealing like crazy too, pads/rotors look fine and I think its coming from the back only, and the back doesn't have the little metal clip piece that squeals when the pads are low right?

I dunno, anyone want it?

Lol its not just that, this has been an absolute nightmare of a car.

Plus its a pretty excessive oil leak... especially since its been pulled to change all the gaskets, didn't leak for a month...then all of a sudden just decided to throw up oil, changed the WP shaft ring gasket thing and fixed that, now like a month later all of a sudden, here we go again!

Hell why are you upset this means you NEVER have to do an oil change just keep adding and it will be all new oil soon enough.... Now that I think of it I may go loosen some of my oil pan bolts right now....

Just messing with you....yea leaks are gonna happen....no matter what I do I can not get my th350 to quit leaking....

I say check you PCV valve. Maybe it's messed up causing too much crank case pressure. I had this happen on an old Blazer I use to drive.

That's the auto-oil-changer option that all LT1 cars came with!

<KIDDING>

I had a '73 Impala that leaked so much oil, I just kept adding oil and changed the filter every six months-no need for full oil changes.

I fixed my LT1 leak(s) by swapping to a LS car. No leaks from a 180K miles car with original engine & transmission.

haha I had a firefly that burned so much oil I'd just top it up, never needed an oil change either.

I had leaks too, I just changed my oil filter and it fixed it. But you're saying this is a consistent problem, so I'm guessing you already taken care of that. In that case it could be anything...it's not that it's a Chevy or an LT1, it's that it's 15 ******* years old, give the poor thing a break bro. lol.

I'm not exactly what you call professional but if brakes are squealing and can't stop you as good as they used to, it indicates you need new pads. If it's just squealing but still stop you fine then it could be just some moist.

Guys, instead of bashing him give him a break, he's looking for car advice, not life advice. You feel me?

Lol sorry, this was just a rant thread, not saying "OMG IT LEAKS OIL PLEASE TAKE IT OFF MY HANDS"...was just joking about that haha...I've gotten quite a bit of **** from this car, and it just really got to me...I haven't beat on it nearly as much as my other cars (that held up just fine, rofl!)

Not saying they're all like this, but damn mine sure seems to hate me.

It just seems so weird about the excessive oil leak, its like I can never make it stop, thats a lot of oil, its like that every time I park it lol, not just a couple of drips.

What else could cause the squealing though?
Its really random when it does it, pads/rotors still look like they would have plenty of life in them...
Braking power seems normal too.

I love hearing the "you drive a hotrod, get used to it" argument, I get it from my dad every damn day.
I don't consider this car a "hotrod", its got a few bolt ons and I don't ramp on it very often, so I guess I just have a hard time believing that those are the causes for my car being so tempermental?

Inb4 previous owner neglect, low miles and older folks owned it, tons of paperwork for oil changes and the like, never had any major issues with the car.
Called the guy one time and he said he got on it "took it up to 4grand!" HOLY **** 4000 RPMS! lol...
